My Web 2.0

I just read Jeremy’s Post about My Web 2.0. That is a very interesting idea, and fit’s well into the complete blogging scheme the web is evolving too.

The thing that scares me about this whole phenomena is, that if we all get our information, our links, our tips for life from a closed circle of friends, how are we broadening our experiences in the future? Right now i read 2 newspapers, some magazines etc. If, in the near future, i decide to replace all this with carefully chosen information sources, linked to by friends, referred to by colleagues, isn’t there a high chance of me not knowing who won the soccer world-championship? Or, if you don’t care about this, not knowing who won the latest national election? I know too extreme as an example, but you get the basic idea. I do not trust purely web based sources yet, for good reasons, they are increasingly hard to verify.
